F3 80% there

Hi guys I wonder if any of you have any Idea's on a problem I am having?.I have bought a F3 box online with gift its all hooked up and I am recieving the majority of channels including HD.The problem is I am missing certain channels I have no sports 3 or 4 no HD movie channels and a few others. I have all the movies in SD and the vast majority of channels but missing these vital few any help would be most appreciated.

hey.

download aj's channel list from the sticky up the top. you will get all the channels you need for your box.

thanks for that I have already downloaded that file and will put it on the box tonight.You may be able to answer something else for me, I only installed the box yesterday as I said, but it has lost the $ channels a few times and you need to reboot the box to get them back any ideas?.

if you put aj's channel list on you will have no bother with it at all.

i have had my box since 21 december and downloaded aj's channel list as i had the same problem.

I think the last question is better aimed at his "gift" provider, but i don't think we can comment further on here.

Sorry to jump in mate, but you loosing the $ channels a few times and need rebooting is to do with your 'provider'.
Using AJ's channel does nothing to you loosing the channels, it is the provider you need to ask about the service to you.

Also, you stated earlier you receive a few HD channels but not others. If your using the latest AJ's list and having this problem, again you will need to speak to your service provider.

just a thought,try doing a blind satellite scan,it should pick up what is missing,and transfer from satellite list into favs..

is there an idiot guide to doing this mate as Im new to the satellite side of things?Also if i rescan the box will it mess up the software(gift which has been preinstalled?).

go to menu.
sat single search
ok
take a look at the bottom make sure it say blind scan
then go to search press ok you should see in both boxes tv channels on left hand side and on the right hand side radio channels.

Hi guys I have downloaded the channels list and it has sorted out my missing channels. I am however having intermittent loss of the $ channels, I have spoke to my provider and he reckons it could be a firewall issue on my router? Do I need a static Ip adrIess? My provider seems to think this will settle down but I have. My doubts, once again any help would be most appreciated.

I suppose he would but what I find strange is it doesn't cut off during a programme etc. Only if the box is turned off or over to a terrestrial channel and then back to the $ channels.
