Okay so i want to buy one of these, but do i have to put a satalite into the box or is it all done through ethernet?

first what kind of box is it? second you plug in your lnb into the back of the box and ethernet cable.

A S10 is what i might get, Also i have a random sat cable that runs into my tv and gives me freeview i'm guessing that won't work.

if it is a lnb type cable you should be fine not a aerial that plugs into the tv if it is a mini dish or a sat dish you should be fine.

It's a coax cable i believe, runs into the loft i'm not sure if it's a Ariel or sat.

thats a lnb cable your fine. plug that into the back of the box and thats you up and running.

woah woah woah... no its not.. its a coaxial cable and the connector at the telly end makes ALL the difference.. its either connected up to an aerial or a dish.

i had to strip mine down as i broke the bit that goes into the lnb and it looks the same as mine shady. i must have had a dodgy sky fitter
