No signal fix. For openboxs s9,s10,s11

Most S9,S10,S11 REPAIRS THIS WILL FIX THE NO SIGNAL PROBLEM 99% OF THE TIME. ON ALL THESE BOXS.!!

NOW TO FIND OUT FIRST IF ANY OF THESE FAULTS ARE ON YOUR BOX,!!

    1.WORKING UNTIL WARM,
2.WORKS ON HORIZONTAL POLL OF DISH BUT NOT VERTICAL OR VERY FEW CHANNELS WORK ON V-POLL.
3.NO SIGNAL FULL STOP ONCE WARMED UP..!

IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE 3 THEN THIS IS THE FAULT..

S9,S10,S11 LOOK AROUND THE TUNER, THERE WILL BE A THERMISTOR WHICH FAILS IN ALL THESE BOXS ITS LOCATED AROUND THE SHARP TUNER,

YELLOW & ROUND WITH 2 LEGS NORMALLY MARKED ON THE BOARD AS (F1) ANOTHER WORDS A FUSE,! BUT ITS NOT ITS MORE OF A TEMP FUSE,!
THIS FAILS AND BREAKS DOWN,, YOU CAN EITHER BRIDGE A PIECE OF WIRE FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER OF F1 OR REPLACE WITH A NEW
    THERMISTOR.!!!

i had the problem with my box to for months, after a bit it used to come up with no signal.
now its working good. i just used a piece of wire and looped the f1 thermistor and it works 100%.

This has worked for me, the inline amp that i bought didnt work, so opened the box found the yellow thermistor and twisted it 360 degrees, thus shorting it out

Its has been fine for about a fortnight now, and saved me from buying a new box or lnb

just twist it around, in doing so the wires will touch and short out

my box never ever went of.. when ever i watched sometime. after an hour the signal would go, and it would say NO SIGNAL..

so thats the solution i used to get round it.. just use a wire to loop the yellow themistor and working again..

for all my opembox s10 and s11 boxes i have used the september 2011 firmware think its 13/09/11.. and its been the best from the rest of the firmware.

...making sure that the bare wires on the thermister are twisted together so that they short out.

Thank you for your reply I've done that so hopefully it will sort out the problem so this is not really needed then? Will it overheat without it?
                      Thanks debs x

the thermistor is there for a reason.
I wouldn't be shorting it out.

I wouldn't normally recommend shorting out a component. As you say, it's there for a reason.

I have just come across a faulty S9 with a "no signal" problem. F1 read 600 Ohms, instead of around 0.5 Ohms. It was marked W60/065 which is rated 60V 0.65A. I had a look around on Ebay & bought these:-

                            5 X RESETTABLE FUSE, 60V, 0.65A, Part # MC36194 | eBay

Once replaced, the S9 burst into life.
