How does the IR cable works for M3

Hello All, how does the IR cable works for skybox m3 which I received with box and how does it impacts on my TV or Audio System ? Reps much appreciated....Thnx

Ive not used one of these but I think its for extending range of the ir sensor so the remote works better over longer distance.

I think the M3 remote doesnt work very well or you got to be pretty close to any response so the IR cable is a workaround for the remote to work better.

Shouldnt think it will have any impact on your tv or radio.

Try your remote without the IR cable connected and see what your remote is like and then with the IR cable connected and see the difference in range etc.

If you are happy with the remote initialy then you dont have to connect the IR cable...... well thats my understanding anyway and if wrong somebody will correct me.

Theres nothing wrong with the built in IR receiver on the M3.. The optional remote IR cable is simply so you can hide the box inside a cupboard, like behind a door in a unit... You simply then have the little IR receiver outside for zapping with your remote...

I doubt it, as there's no IR socket on the F5, is there?
