    Skybox f3

    Hi can anyone help,
    I have a skybox f3, connected to the Internet via Ethernet cable when I switch the box on to watch tv I loose my wireless connection, this means I can't use any wireless device in the house while the skybox is switched on,

    when I switch it off,

    the wireless can be used again ?????? Any one please ????

    Ps. I've tried another modem and its the same, it's bt Internet .

          What type of cable have you used exactly, What socket have you plugged the cable coming from your box into, and what device is this socket on?

            Hi, it's an Ethernet cable connecting the f3 to the modem via the Ethernet plugins on the back of the modem
            is a bt home hub 2. Thanks lee

                presume you mean router and not modem.
                it wont be the internet, you might need to go into the settings of the router.
                does the wireless light go off on the router, when you turn the box on??

                  Thats the correct way so...
                  Theres no reason why it should do that, your Skybox should not be the cause... Does the Skybox connect to your network ok and work properly when connected via ethernet? What if you plug something else into a LAN port on your Homehub instead of the Skybox (like a PC, Laptop) do other wifi devices still lose wifi when that other device is connected via ethernet? Maybe summats wrong with your Homehub...
