    Skybox F5 UK Settings

Hi, I am new on here and was looking for Guidance on a Skybox F5. Any help would be much appreciated...
Got new box in the post with stock firmware.
I updated the firmware to newest version, early feb 13, which cured youtube problems etc. As the box had built in satellites settings, I scanned the first two blind and it saved about 800 channels, went online and it all worked fine. Browsing or finding channels was a nightmare, so I downloaded AJ's listings for UK. All looked fine, but some would not work, such as sports channels. Went back into the satellite setup page and all the old satellite information was overwritten with a s*y UK satellite, which the software installed. What I was trying to do was re-scan and move working channels onto the positions of AJ's non-working ones, but the old satellite info is gone.
So, in short I am looking for a firmware that leaves the original satellite info in place and a channel listing that is akin to what we would use in uk / ireland..... Any ideas / help?

Its only a name difference, the satellite position is the same and thats what matters... AJ's is 28.2e, your old one would have been 28.2e, theres no difference...

So i thought too, but some channels will not tune and need the original settings, where they did work. Might it be a firmware thing? Whats the best firmware to use on this? Thanks.

Theres not much in the way of settings that could be different from one channel list to another.... You could check to make sure your LNB is set to Universal 9700-10600, and thats about it really..

I have been trying set up my F5. I tried to set the LNB to 9700-10600, but its not listed as an option. So I set to 9750 - 10600 This has found loads of channels about 392 or so all of which work OK. But I am missing loads of stuff Inc ITVHD, ITV 3 & 4 but +1s are there also no sky1 but have sky1 + 1 and sky2.

Is there a way of inputting 9700-10600 or is there another way to get the missing channels

          Thanks

hi 2906 and welcome to DK ,your box should be set to 9750-10600 , go into menu, channel search MAKE SURE you put it on network search and then do a blind scan,if this does not work (which it should ) download AJS or SAT5 list and install good luck

2906...do you have any other boxes connected to the same LNB as your F5 box?

This can sometimes cause a loss of transponders.
