skybox f3 Newbie help pls

    skybox f3 Newbie help pls

    I have just acquired a skybox F3.
    I have been studying the site and trying to get myself familiar with the jargon that is used to enable me to carry out various upgrades of which I'm obviously nervous about doing. How will/can I tell if I need these firmware updates and on some things channel lists I only have 9 differnet catagories at the moment but when I look at AJ's list it has the same but different can I upgrade to this list?

    I have also looked at an openbox guide which is very good and clear, but some of it I dont understand because I dont understand the slang? what is cline and 'Cccam.cfg'? would appreciate any help please where do I start first have downloaded firmware/channel list/

      your not alone mate.im trying to set mine up too.hopefully we'll get help in plain english

          I'm sure someone will help that's what the forum is for that's why we are all here to learn and share (hopefully) fingers crossed

              Well your answer to cccam is Google am afraid as we dont talk about it on here as it is banning material sorry. We have all had to do it. Sorry I can't help but I don't want to get banned or any other person on here.

                      firmware should be ok just download ajs channel list put it on usb put it in box go to menu upgrade by usb select misc upgrade file select it and itll do it for you reboot box after
