I am sure a wifi bridge which connects via ethernet will be be a different experience to the wifi via usb option though as the box would not know it any different to direct lan connection. Nothing could be as bad as usb wifi on these boxes .

It'll still be wifi transfering the little packets of data every second, and it'll be this wifi that suffers from occasional dropouts caused by interference from other nearby wifi networks, microwave ovens, baby monitors, wireless video senders, wireless keyboards/mice, etc etc... So..... for the sake of running a cheap ethernet cable, wifi is best avoided...
Alternatively, Power Line Ethernet Home Plugs is a good alternative if somebody cant be arrsed running an ethernet cable... But a 30m ethernet cable can be bought for a couple of quid on Ebay, so.....
I agree ethernet is always better but wifi can work just as well if set up right. Finding the quietest wifi channel can help loads too. I run a vu duo on a wifi bridge for 18 month with zero issues.
I have also had issues with cheap ethernet cables too so I buy slightly better quality ones now.
I had nothing but bother with my M3 on ethernet or wifi and either was as bad as each other where its perfect on either on my new box so it looks like the skybox's are shaky as best .
i had an headache using a free wifi dongle(no skybox logo on it) i got with my f5 i brought a proper skybox dongle(small one no aerial on it) from ebay for a fiver and it works with no problems at all getting an 81% sigal from downstairs to upstairs no drop outs at all faultless
