Hi Guys I have an openbox s11 that was purchased all setup that ihave been tinkering with. (channel lists,Gifts etc) but am now looking for a second box. I am looking at an openbox x5 probably a clone im guessing at ?50 off fleabay.

so question
1, how do i identify if my existing box is a clone?
3, If I make a dump image of my s11 will it work on an x5?
2, if not.Where can I get the image needed for a clone x5?

Be aware with the x5 because it doesn't use same channel format as the existing openbox/skyboxes so it's extremely difficult to get a channel list for and to the best of my knowledge there isn't a channel editor for it due this.

There are probably no clone X5's around, so dont worry about that.

An S11 image will not work on an X5 at all, nor would it work on an F3 or F5.. The S11 is a much older class of receiver with different hardware...

Like bbb said, best avoid the X5 as its not as well supported, the F3 or F5 would be a far better option...

Thanks alot guys will an s11 image work on an f5 then?
and also does f5 allow for wifi and web players?
also do any boxes support 1channel or icefilms etc?
do any allow streaming to ipad etc?

any news on the new vu+duo with the built in wifi etc

As nibblitz mentioned, the s11 image wont work on F5 as the hardware is different.

The s11 will only work on s9, s10 I believe.

wifi is possible on f5 but people have reported stability issues with wifi so I'd recommend homeplug instead.

No to your other questions.

The other openboxes (except x5) offer same facilities as your s11 except hardware is bit faster and better menu on the f5.

If you want much more features than that then you will prob have to spend a lot more on other boxes.

f5 just arrived have set up but have a slight problem whenn adding lines a added a c line and a n line the c line is good not glitchy but the n line is crap. problem is i cant figure out how to see line so i can delete or make inactive on 1. i seem to be only able to add lines by usb . is there somewhere i can manually add lines?

ps ive updated ajs channel list but im not getting any groups i.e.. movies,sport etc etc any ideas?

I know on the f5 (or for that matter on any box with latest firmware) you cant dump (save***********but I assume you can add.

With regards to list, you will have to name your favourites and that will be it even if you update channels again.

I don't have an f5 yet but have you tried manual if you have one? You can download one from Yojiatech website.
