try the f3 on another tv to start ///also have you got anything to work on hdmi 1 or 2 etc ////read your tv instructions ..have you got to turn anything on or change settings on tv to get it to pic the f3box or any other device through your hdmi cables ///

Press the Vformat button on the remote control repeatedly (with pauses in between each press) until you get a compatible output format displaying correctly on your TV...

Another I found with an old Samsung was that if the settings on the HD box are set to RGB old Sammy doesnt recognise.

i had similar proplem with sanyo tv .it did work with red,yellow and white leads ,but not hd
