my box freezes quite a lot on sport channels im running on june 12 firmware do i need upto date firmware somebody help

You could try another firmware and even update the channel list, your other option and i am wording this to keep within the forum rules is to try the data you have on the F3 and try this in another receiver if you have one or one of your mates perhaps to maybe rule out the data so to speak.
I know for a fact that some more replys will come along stating that its the data that is held on the F3 that is causing the connection issue, But like anything else you need a process of elimination for each varying factor in your setup.
The only reason i say this is that there have been a recent spate of posts on this very same topic
