    Newbie says Hi

I'm new on here but have a few years of FTA behind me

Started with a Comag 35/12 camping set which I bought for camping trips several years ago and then graduated to a motorised set up primarily for English and German channels

Sadly the Comag expired just into he new year so I've been looking for a replacement and have just bought a Skybox F3 that arrived today.

Had a quick play and notices that all the sats are for southern hemisphere - is this how they come from the factory? It was in the original packaging with a UK plug lead.

he firmware is Oct 12 with You-tube App

Have to have a good play tomorrow bu it looks promising

      Hi Gerry.

New aswell.I think the whole thing can be a little daunting to start with, but if i can get it, i`m sure others can.
When i got mine it only came with one sat on it (28.2e).My dish installer said i needed to have more on it to tune it in and make sure it worked. So i frantically looked around for sat lists(searching on here and other sites)until i found one.But you can add them in manually one at a time if you wish.I would look around and find out what sats you want and do that.Blind search and then delete all the crap channels that you will never watch, the box only has enough space for 5000 channels.
As for the firmware there is one dated 25/01/2013 out there. The date is in the file title so you will know if you have the correct one or not.
