More than likely it will come pre-loaded with the latest firmware, If not its easy to update via USB

Very bad idea to order a single unit from china... You wont be saving much money at all, it will take nearly a month to get here, and it'll be very very expensive to return if it arrives doa, and you wont get a replacement or refund for at least another month... Best to buy from a good feedback UK seller on ebay..

          china doesn't take returns
          they have laws against it.

Where have you learned this? Have you a link to some official information that verifies your statement?

              complete

they don't allow complete receivers into the country, only parts.
You would have to take the receiver apart and ship it in sections, thus voiding the warranty.Catch22.That's been mentioned ever since factories started selling receivers directly to the public from china.

I never questioned it since it makes sense and sounds like something they would do to protect their fta output.

Ah right, so its not actually true or actual fact, its just something you heard (somewhere) and assumed to be true because to you it sounds like something they (china) would do..

I returned some clone s10s and they didn't pass through customs. The places I bought them from were contacted by the courier but refused to complete the paperwork and the parcels were returned to me free of charge b DHL.

DHgate arsed about but eventually refunded so all in all ist wasn't to bad. The fifty quid it cost to return the two parcels was recouped double fold by selling the clones as faulty.

And thats all it is, if the parcels get stopped by china customs without proper paperwork the chinese seller gets slapped with large import tax & customs bill before they can have the returned goods... And thats the fault of the china supplier not having a correct returns process in place, and the pretty ham-fisted chinese customs.. Its not that they have laws against faulty receivers being returned as was stated by sluggy.
