You might need to change the Quad LNB on your Sky dish with a different make.. A certain make of Quad Sky LNB has been known to cause the issue you're experiencing.

Also make sure your cable hasn't a splitter on it as only one box will be able to recieve the signal. So if your skybox is on a two way split the first box will be ok but the second box will display no signal, and then when you put the first box on standby the second box will be ok.

I too have the same issue as yourself, I've ordered a new Inverto ultra quad LNB ditching my old Thompson Quad one.
My SKYBOX F5 signal on ESPN would drop from 80percent to 5percent as soon as the SKY+ box booted up.
I'm running this on a sky zone2 70cm oval dish.
I'll let ya know how it fairs out later this week when it arrives.

Well, I installed the Inverto Ultra Quad LNB, looking at my SKY+ box I checked the signal test. There was no difference at all in signal strength. Still about 85percent. My signal quality improved considerably, from 60percent to 90 percent. It also sorted the problem I had with my skybox signal dropping out. Now a steady 80. You definitely pay for what you get!

These units are no good, trust me. Everyone will be using them as a door stop soon. Im trying to get rid of my last 11 units, Stick to the F3's much better unit. Read my other post about the F5.
