skybox f5,channels scramble and then resumes

    Hi
I have a skybox F5 setup with wired internet. I am finding that a lot of the time channels are freezing for around 5-10 seconds sometimes with the scrambled signal showing and then it resumes. I have a good signal intensity of 90% and signal quality of 74%. I dont know what you call the blue line that appears when you press the info button it is between the NOW and NEXT the moves up and down depending on the channel .
This is mostly happening on the movie channels have tried changing internet cables, nothing has helped so far.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thank you Silvermist

As above mate COULD be a server issue but could also be an ISP problem. Try a ping a tracert to you CS host

That wont prove much, how many hops is more important, but as this stuff is summat we're not allowed to talk about here (against forum rules) I think we should all say no more other than shitty provider... The End

Not sure how you work that out mate, it will prove if there are points along the route to the CS that either timeout or have a high ping. Both of these would cause scramble and glitching.

Because I know what Im talking about.... Firstly, the OP said "This is mostly happening on the movie channels" and secondly, the shitty gift providers server is almost certainly not the card host... But like I said before, forum rules state we cant talk about this stuff, so I cant help you understand it further...

I suppose the issue here mate is on a forum such as this you never actually know who you are talking to and what the said people do for a living. You clearly prove my case

Think most of us know what we can and can't talk about in the forum.
Another rule break is flaming members.

If the fta channels are fine its definitely an internet related probem but more than likey the thing we can't talk about.

Guys I am not arguing with anyone, merely pointing out a fact. I for one would never advice anyone anything that I did not KNOW to be fact.

its either poor ping/latency or more likely overloaded gift.... i think we should end this as we are skating on thin ice as regards forum rules. regards mdt
