Ive got a skybox f3 and wanna install A'J's channel list , ive fondthe file online do i just copy andpasteit to my usb stick?
How do go about intalling it to my f3 box? im a newbie to this

Extract the file with winrar and copy to the root of the mem stick. In the menus look for upgrade by usb, change the top box to Misc then select and press ok to put a tick at the side of TP_prog.dbs then press the yellow button. When finished reboot box.

I saved it to winrar then copied it to my memory stick but insure what 'root' means.
I tried to open the file and it came up with a error msg but when i viewed it i had aload of words and symbols come up.
do i have to remove the old channel list first?

You dont save it to winrar. Winrar is a programme to extract a compressed file.

Save the file to your desktop and right click on it, select extract here. You shoud the see the TP prog file that you drag and drop to usb mem stick.

Hi mate if the file is in .rar format then you can download 7zip which is a free program that can unzip .rar files for you.

I wiped my channels when i updated to ajs channel list. Im sure it tells you what to do in his sticky at top of forum.

It does not work like an auto updater i'm afraid you will have to keep an eye on AJ's thread for the Updates he does to his list which is kept pretty much up to date
