    Skybox f3 password

I have my skybox f3 since Christmas and just today everything has come up scrambled,I went in2 menu to try and have a look but when I do it keeps asking me for a password but I tried the usual 0000 and a few others but nothing is happening,I never put a password in before but was wondering does anybody have an idea how to fix this problem?

    Hi

I know you say youve tried a few but see if there is any different on this list than what youve tried and give it a whirl.

    0000, 1111, 1234, 4321, 3133,3313, 3436, 6666, 7786, 7890 , 9876, 9999

        Hi

Thats a bummer then as usually its one of those. Could you get in before.

Have you got your "what you cant talk about" file saved. If you have then you can upgrade firmware via serial method and start again.

                    Hi

You will have to flash via the serial method, info on it is a few threads down on the main page. If you have the all important info saved then iits not an issue but if you dont have that info then perhaps a problem.

If you havent got that info then make sure you do full dump before you reflash then you stand a chance of retreiving that info but hope you dont need to go down that road as its a bit drawn out.

                    Regards

I can't even get in2 any of the menu settings without it asking me for a password to even dump the info on2 the USB stick, the only thing that I have saved on my USB is the channel list.

                        Hi

Maybe I wasnt clear enough. As you are having to reflash via the serial method and if you havent got the all important "gift" info then you would need to do a full dump also via the serial method before reflashing.

If you have the said "gift" info then no need for a dump just go ahead and reflash via serial method.

I noticed you have put up another thread relating to this and someone has given you a link to flashing via the serial method.

                        Regards

                          Hi
I know you can use x3/f3 lan tool to dial into the box via ip address, and I know it shows you the password of the gift etc, but off the top o my head aint too sure if you can retrieve menu password though.
Google x3/f3 lan tool, get your ip from the attached client list in your router, give it a go, you cant do any more harm.
At best ,at least you can save your "gift" details.

Yeah mate I just seen that but tbh I just don't really have a clue about computers,I thought I cld just do something on the box to sort this problem out, might just end up buying another box as all this sounds very complicated,to me anyway. If I do I would just like to thank anybody who replied to my questions.
