    SKYBOX F5 DOESN'T TURN ON

    Hi guys,
I ve just got a Skybox F5. When I turn it on for the first time, It started searching canals and suddenly the image stand still. The only way I had to put it off is to draw the plug (12V) behind. Now, it does not turn on (no light in front-nothing happens). Someone can tell me how can I resolve this problem.
    Thanks a lot!

On the matter of warranty if it should come to that unless you have opened the case, altered components or physically altered the box you should not have any problems over warranty.

Changing firmware (factory issued), installing channel lists etc are quite normal for a satellite box.

Thanks for earlier reply. To return it to the sender costs 3/4 of it's price.

            Thanks for reply,
There's no switch in the bank only a plug of 12 volts. I checked many a time all the connections.

I had same thing happen to me when scanning a satellite on the f5; had to reflash it using the null modem cable and original firmware, worked fine since.
                Hope you get it sorted
                Cheers
If it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!

Always a good idea to back up you orignal f/w before doing anything with these boxes, but i would recommend this site as it is original firmware Download / Software_Shenzhen Yojia Technology Co., Ltd.
