    Firmware Upgrade Question

Hi, I have a Skybox F5, can anyone advise me on a point I have been unable to find an answer to. When you apply the "latest" firmware upgrade does it include all the previous upgrades in the file. So in effect am I completely replacing the firmware already installed or is it just amending the firmware. I found a new upgrade today on the Skybox.cc website and am wondering if it will finally fix my YouTube not playing problem. The upgrade is listed as 201332813452173236.rar and states that it
Upgrade Youtube FlashUpgrade weather APP by USB
Show "invalid program" instead of "scrambled" when play invalid program
    Fixed satellite list view bug.

As above the YouTube app works "better" !
You need to realise that the F3/F5 are really only entry level boxes and are great for viewing in HD, anything you can get to work other than this is a bonus.

sb18180 The point of my post was to find out if an update completely replaced the firmware or just amended parts of it. I asked this because even though the firmware on my box was a version that highlighted a "YouTube playback fix" it still didn't work on my box, I was not sure if that meant the update had not worked or there was a problem with my box. I'm sorry you found it necessary to return to call me sad because I wanted an available option to work.

              Hi Micky2Shoes,

You are correct in your assumption that when you flash a new firmware the whole lot gets re-written and not just a certain part of the firmware, If you do flash the box please make sure you make a backup of anything on there that you want to keep especially in the Network 6666 Cams section.

At least with that backed up you can try various firmwares to see if it fixes the problem you are having with some of the on-board features

              Regards
