F5 sky box problem

Hi all got a bizarre problem I have been upgrading a few f5 sky boxes for friends and had no problems , I have just done one and it works fine but when I install it at my mates it seems to brick loads up the channels but no access to the box and no channels , brought the box back to mine and it is fine , swapped for another box and just plugged power and it loads up and as soon as I hook up the satellite feed it reboots and no access again and channels on front keep going up . Any advice appreciated

you should not hook up the dish cable when box is on as it carries power thats used to supply the lnb this could pop the box. but as regards yor problem it could be a cable plug but you problem is not very clear tbh

Sounds like your mates satellite feed cable and/or f-plugs is shorting somewhere.
