In a word no mate. You can record the channel you are watching or set a timer to record whilst you are in bed. If you want to record one channel and watch another you need a box with dual tuners.

The other connection on the back of the F5 is to connect two boxes together but to be honest it is not advised as the F5 lacks the power to run more than one box.
