    ESPN UK

    Hi

Is anyone having an issue with ESPN? I can get all other sports channels including ESPN Ameica and ESPN Classic but not the ESPN UK that shows live football. I did have it and it has gone off for the last 2 weeks.

I have an Openbox S11 HD box.

I have tried a single and multiple scan (blind trace) and this doesn't pick the channel up (even in the Satlist channels).

Should I download the latest channel list from AJ and delete my current list and replace it with the latest channel list from AJ?

Do I need to do a reset to factory default?

Is there a way to keep my current setings and manually type in a frequency for the ESPN UK channel?

    Hope someone can help!

Thanks termiantor and boylan I'll try that tonight.

Is that transponder just for the ESPN channel or will it bring back other channels? Is there a site that I can get a list of any other channels that I may be missing?

I entered the frequency as you both said but the frequency was already there anyway. I still can't see Espn. It says no signal. Any other ideas that I can try? When I look in the transponder list for sky uk for 12285/27500v it has a signal intensity of 45% and signal quality of 10%. The lists that have a h rather than a v have 90% intensity and 74% quality such as 11758/29500h. Are these figures for intensity and quality ok?

If you already have the channel showing no signal, delete it from the all list and rescan the frequency. Also you can try one digit up or down on the freq.

I've deleted it from the list and I've just done a single preset scan. Now I can't see Espn in my favourites or in the satlist. Was I right to do a single preset scan? Do I need to reboot?

When I search on the re added list it says no program found. The same for the 12324/29500v hd one too.

Is the low signal intensity & quality true for all vertically polarised transponders? If so, it looks like your box or LNB may have a problem.

Are you missing a lot of channels or just the ones on the ESPN transponder?

I only seem to be missing the ESPN UK channel. I can see all the other sports channels including ESPN America and ESPN Classic.

Are the other sports channels that I can see not on vertically polarised transponders?

ESPN classic & America are H polarised.

Can you see S l y Sports 3 HD, Eurosport HD, & Motors TV? These 3 are V polarised.

I can see Sky sports 1, 2, 4 and sky sport news in hd but can only see sky sports 3 (non hd). I can only see one eurosport (eurosport 2 I think). Not sure about Motors.

It must be the v polarised issue then. Is there anything I can do to get it back? I did have ESPN until about 3 weeks ago.

The link below seems to coincide with when I lost the channel:

Is it worth trying to enter 12606 / 27500 V in my transponder list?

It looks increasingly like there is a fault with the box or LNB in detecting all V polarised channels. If you look at the KOS transponder list for 28.2e, you can check whether or not you are missing all the V polarised channels.

                              Astra 1N / Astra 2A / Astra 2D / Astra 2F / Eutelsat 28A / Eutelsat 28B (28.2?E) - All transmissions - frequencies - KingOfSat

Looking at my S9 box, the voltage on the LNB socket when off load (LNB disconnected) is 14.5v for V, & 19.5v for H. If you confirm that all your V channels are missing & you have access to a multimeter, you could measure this yourself.
