    NEWBIE Skybox F5 Help?

Ive just purchased a SKYBOX F5 from amazon, i intend on getting all the sky sports and movies channels etc. I do not have any idea how to do so or where to begin. Ive seen AJ's channel list which looks like something id want. Is there a forum which tells me step by step what to do in order to modify my box and then install the channels? Any help is greatly appreciated, thankyou

Also, is there anything else i need to purchase in order to get everything set up? I have a current basic sky subscription, BT internet, and a sky dish. Is the box the only thing i need to get going?

You will need to connect your F5 to a unused output of your lnb on your satellite dish, once this is done do a blind scan on your F5, install AJ's channel list, you should be able to see all the fta channels. For the scrambled channels you will have to connect the F5 to the internet and then google is your best friend for the other thing you will need, do a little research, once you get the other thing can always help with setting up.

If the correct firmware is installed along with the channel list then there is no need to blind scan.

hes after more than fta but it cannot be talked about on the forum. so more than a skybox and channel list is needed.

Yes mate.....have a look here might point you in the right direction & give you a clue about the missing part you need
                http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-guide-257009/

the part you need for the $ channels we cannot talk about on DK otherwise our stay on here will be cut short

also i would advise a read of the http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f5/forum-rules-2/
