Advice for a newbie !!

Hi people, just took possession of my new Skybox F5.It has a channel list installed and I can't work out how to install a test gift code that I have to see if I'm set up ok.Any help or advice would be much appreciated Waiting with anticipation for reply's guys n' girls

1.Open notepad on your pc.
2.Copy and paste your gift code into notepad.
3.Save as Cccam.cfg using the all file option on the notepad or you will end up with a .txt file instead of .cfg.
4.Format a usb stick to FAT32 copy the Cccam.cfg to usb stick.
5.Stick usb into your F5
6.By remote menu>6666>network>cccam settings>update by usb
7.Load your file from usb then manage cccam and activate your gift code a tick should appear besides it.
8.Reboot F5

Thanks for the replys guys.I managed to figure it out and install it manually, but the USB guide is a great help.

Hi, I am a newbie guys but even I could understand those instructions. So where do I buy a gift? or cant we talk about that either? Can somebody pm me please? Surely that's not against the rules is it?
