Is it possible to stream Skybox F3 onto my PC, like you can do so on a Dreambox

    Hi all,

I was recently persuaded to purchase a Skybox F3 instead of a Dreambox from the provider. Although on reflection as I cannot access the F? from my bedroom and I understand you can stream a Dreambox to a PC, I am not sure if I did the right thing.

Can anyone please advise if they have managed to stream a Skybox to a PC as this would really make my day

Thanking you all for taking the time to read my post in advance.
    John.

cant be done. If it was that easy to persuade you to buy a skybox over a dm, then i have a bridge to sell you .
In all seriousness, the skybox is a capable secondary box or stopgap box. I wouldnt have it as a main box
    Fave replies from various threads

1: What the fff is all that about??? All that crap below your reply I mean, get a life mate
2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about,
3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives

That pretty much applies to every receiver available today, which would also require the op to have an available sapre coax feed going into the bedroom where as he may just be using wireless from a laptop or have cat5/router there already and with a DM800 would negate the need for the triax trilink option

Actually I cannot install a cable, as my skybox f3 is in the living room and I live in the loft room !

Also not sure if I like the idea of such a long cable anyway.

Although, as mentioned above, I can get hold of a dreambox 500. Does anyone know if I can get to view that on my PC upstairs ?

          Regards John.
