In the past, getting replacement power supply boards, USB ports and front panel PCB were all FOC. Now the Openbox factory are refusing to supply replacement parts unless they are paid for. They will only repair motherboards under a 12 month warranty if sent back to them, nothing else is covered. Well, that is what they are saying now.
I have noticed that there has been an abundance of power supply boards failing recently on Openbox S11s that were manufactured from March to July 2012. Now with having to pay for replacement parts, shipping them over from China and covering the return postage cost to buyers, there seems little point in dealing with Openbox in the future. Along with the release of the Openbox X5 with firmware that did not work properly and this matter regarding parts/warranty, their reputation cannot sink much lower.
