Eurobird 1 & Astra

Can someone PLEASE tell me where I'm going wrong here?! I've followed the setup guide word for word, but there's no 'Eurobird 1 & Astra' option available when I select the 'Single Satellite Scan'... I've upgraded to the latest firmware and also added AJ's channel list (I think!). This is driving me INSANE! ... Apologies if this is answered in another thread... Thanx chaps.

Eurobird 1 & Astra is just a name, its the position thats the important thing, and that position is 28.2e .... It could be named monkeynuts, if the position is 28.2e then its the same as if it was called Eurobird 1 & Astra... I think AJ's list simply names the 28.2e satellite position as "Sky"...

Ah right, so do you think that by selecting the 'Sky UK' option I've done it right, and that's enough?... Thanks for getting back to me by the way mate. I feel like a pain in the arse because I'm completely new to all this!

Sky UK gets all transmissions from 28.2e, and 28.2e is the position in the sky that a Sky dish is aimed at, so yes thats all you need to do, select that satellite and blind scan for channels... But, if you have added AJ's channel list to your box then you dont need to scan for channels anyway...

Yes mate.
I've now managed to get a free/test "unspeakable" running too, if you know what I mean, so I think it's all running smoothly now. Thanks for everyone's help.

It is something not allowed to talk about here but to give you a clue you have one of these in your box:

Do a little research google is your best friend eg search skybox F5 sea lion.

I had the exact same problems mate, I've only really researched it since Monday 22nd April but this site is ace and helped a lot. Just study other posts about this subject and you'll get there. You need to "get something" from someone else and "add" it to your F5. The setup guide on here works wonders. Keep at it mate, worth it.
