Firmware SKYBOX F5

I have HD SKYBOX F5 Satellite Receiver but after Setting a new Password (I forgot it) i couldn't be able to do any thing with it. Does anyone know how to Hack it ? Which Firmware i need ? and how to do it ?

You will have to flash it go to skybox.cc for the latest firmware.

Thanks a lot mharkpat .. But then i got files with extentions like ".abs" or ".app"

1.Download the file to your pc and unpack it (in a folder you have xxxxxxx.abs file)
2.Format a usb stick to FAT32
3.Copy the xxxxxxx.abs onto your usb stick (just the file not in folder)
4.Put the usb stick into your F5
5.Press menu on your remote then tools then upgrade by usb choose the image.abs
6.You should see the file on your usb stick just press start
7.Wait for it to finish

A word of caution back up everything you do this in similar fashion to the above but choose the dump to usb option.

not trying to be smart here guys but if the password is lost and box is password protected you can't access menu if so it's rs232 method .

You are not being smart but you are correct, its good to point things out otherwise the op is going to get more confused. Although the next batch of questions is going to be how to flash via rs232,which loader etc.

To the original poster before you reflash with rs232 in this case or at any other time make sure you have a backup of everthing otherwise you will lose your all important files.

You are perfectly right sometimes when answering a post after some time has passed I sometimes forget to read the first post and the mind just goes into autopilot.

If the OP wants to flash using the rs232 null cable modem I will walk you through it.
