    Help using my sky ard in a f5

    Hi Guys i have a paid subscription with Sky and are wanting to use the card in my skybox f5 upstairs when i go to bed is this possible and if so how can i do this, the channels say scrambled at moment with the card in i think i have to do somthing in the ca slot settings but not sure what. Thank Ian

    With open linux boxes you could pair them using a boxkey but I don't think you can do with the F5 correct me if I am wrong.

      can do it with the openboxes as i did on a s9 & s10, should imagine it would be one the same. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do it, even in this thread if you look back far enough
      If it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!

        my f5 recognises my sky card and if the network connection is down i can view whatever the smartcard is allowed to unscramble

            mine wont be connected to network it is used as a free view box but would like to take my sky card upstairs at night to continue viewing paid channels i have paid for. it will be easier that taking my hd box up all the time.Thanks

              you need to pair the card to the box after you convert the box s/n to hex, i dernt say anything on the sharing topic as i always seem to over step the mark, use google on how to pair them also older threads in the openbox forum

                One thing to remember if you do manage to pair the box is that with the new measures taken by sly, might mean you are unable to watch the HD channels only the SD.
