Clone or genuine F5

Hi guys, is there an easy way to tell if your F5 box is a clone? Does it make any difference? Will AJ channel list work in either? I am a newbie so any help appreciated. Thanks

Doesn't make a difference the only thing you might get is a file mismatch error when trying to update firmware from official source and yes AJ's channel list should work with both clones and originals.

appears i have a clone .. as unable to upgrade due to mismatch .. was sold as genuine so will be getting money back!!! grrrrr

There are several factories manufacturing the skyboxes therefore you get a lot of variation in components used in making the hardware maybe even a slight difference in firmware as well.
