2 Skybox F3 on same network

    Hi all

Quick question that's been whirring away in the back of my head for some time now, it has come to be much more towards the front of my mind considering I've just purchased a new TV for my bedroom.

I have a Skybox F3 using an existing standard $ly satellite dish, wired into fibre optic router using Cccam and receiving the full package. This is downstairs and is mainly for the benefit of my parents, moreso my Dad who enjoys watching live sport and movies - something he cannot easily leave the house to do so due to disability. Anyway that's getting too far off the point.

    What I was wondering is..

Would it be at all possible to buy another F3, with the intention of running Cccam for full $ly UK package and install it into my bedroom upstairs on the same connection? I haven't got a lot of optimism about the idea so don't worry if you feel like you are cutting me down by saying no.

But if it is possible, a quick run-down of what I might need and how to go about it would be greatly appreciated.

We can help you with the Installation of the other F3/5 and what cabling you may require but the other subject is taboo and cannot be discussed in great length on the forum, So please do not mention again Cccam and even the abbreviated $ly in the same sentence or the thread will close Forum Rules: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...rules-2/#post2 : Discussions about cardsharing are not allowed, including, but not limited to, cccam, gbox, mbox, etc.

Mate all u need is another feed from your sat dish to ur bedroom - hook up ur f3 to it and connect via wireless connection to ur router and job done. if u are connecting to the same person with the same bit of code then u wont be able to use both boxes at the same time. So get another bit of code and job done.

Oh I do apologise for slipping up there, chalk it down to rookie error. Won't happen again!

To achieve another feed from my satellite dish, what would I need to get/do?

If your LNB has more than 1 F socket on it (quad is the most popular with 4 sockets), then simply attach another cable to one of the sockets & connect the other end to your new box.

What are the chances of the existing satellite dish I have installed from that big UK satellie TV company who shall remain nameless, having enough sockets?

Why don't you go and check I believe if you have sly+ then they fit a quad LNB as standard to try and persuade you to go multi room.
