    Fixing Channels...

Hey everyone, Im a newbie and Im just wondering, can I manually add or fix channels that arent working or perhaps a bit jumpy?...I also would like to know what Dish or satellite im using...It says K_Eurobird 1&As on my tv but I cant find that on kingofsat ... Im almost sure im on 28.2E SLY sort of connection, Im from Northern Ireland..

Also could someone help me with transponder or tp info, whats the use of these, do the get the box a channel that perhaps might not work? E.g. I dont think my Skybox Office works correctly but I know that fixed versions or different versions cant be found specifically etc..

Sorry for all the questions and order in which Ive said them im just new and looking tips for my box..

    Its a Skybox F3 btw..

TP stands for transponder, a transponder has a number of channels on it and sometimes channels move about therefore a channel might disappear or glitch the changes to channels and tp can be found and websites like king of sat or lyngsat therefore if you are having trouble with a particular tp then a single tp scan can be done to fix it instead of doing a full scan or you can even add tp's to add to your list.

p.s if you were to use AJ's list it will fix your problems because he does all the hard work for you.

Thanks for all the help mate...do u know of any new changes to channels or tp changes that I might need to be aware off, ive had my box a few months now...

I'm considering using AJ'S list but I need to back my current list up incase an error somehow appears....Will it work no problem on an F3?

Transponders never change on the satellites Channels may well move to a different transponder or if its a new satellite then Transponders can be added but these are few and far between.

You just need to keep an eye on the channel change part

btw...A lot of firmwares list 28.2e as "K_Eurobird 1&Ast". It doesn't matter what they call it, as long as the position is 28.2e.

Aj's list will work for all openboxes and skyboxes apart from X5 which uses a strange .bin file format.
To back up using the remote go to tools then select the dump to usb option then use the < > on your remote to get to misc files then tick what you want to save.
