I've been putting an OpenPLi image on them and preconfigured with autobouquets and 7 Day EPG. They do run warm, so ensure you have good cooling.

Does anyone know the version of chip used on this unit V2/V3, also can original vu+ Solo images be used or do you have to use clone modified images?

Also is this receiver a copy of the Cloud Ibox with same hardware/software?

They are not a ferrari clone so don't have a V2/V3 chip. I have used the latest BH and OpenPLi images on them with no problems, although I have not updated the drivers to the latest available on the vuplus archive.

I've bought OpenBox S6000HD it came installed with OpenPLi 2.1. I've never used a Linux based receiver before. I had the Openbox S10 which was straight forward. I've managed to install the cross epg which shows 7 day listings, also I've managed to install the sky bouquet with s*y numbering. lincsat should I be updating to ver 3.0 of the firmware, would that give me more features or make the receiver more stable? Also I have installed the youtube plugin, soon as I search for a item a list of results comes up without the a video clipping and then whole box crashed with a green page with some white txt. Is there any resolution for this? Also how do Installed IPTV and what channels will that bring? Also how do I install a Internet browse on the box? How do I mount my USB stick on the box so the box thinks its a internal Hard Disk. At the moment box does record and pause live tv on to my usb stick.

Hi wonder2010, you can install Blackhole 1.79 on the Openbox S6000Hd, instead of OpenPli.
for the Blackhole1.79, it contains with Streaming IPTV already, no needed any plugins.
And also, its with many plugins together. working stable.

Blackhole1.79 install is easy
upgrade IMAGE steps:
(1) download IMAGE(Blachole or OpenPli or OpenVix or other) to usb stick folder "vuplus". Do make sure the folder is "vuplus"
(2) plug usb stick into the receiver box.
(3) start the box, IMAGE will load automaticly. The front light will become red-blue-red-blue.
When the light be blue, then all upgrade finish. It take about 3 mins.
(5)Please turn off the receiver box, ta ke off the usb stick. Then restart the receiver box, all are OK.

It is V3, can install original Vu+ firmware, such as blackhole
it is the same function, same hardware as Cloud iBox.
