i put my own fan in to mine, quite simple take out the card reader from the tray underneath and attach a fan to the base (where the card reader used to sit) its a 40mm square fan but being 12v it was quite noisy so i stuck a 22 ohm 22R0 22R 5W /5 Watt Resistor which reduces the 12 v to 5v and makes the fan so quiet i cant hear it

i used a Fractal Design Silent Series R2 40mm Case Fan

Hi,

I am trying to follow the guide but am stuck at the moment.
I''m following the how to load sharing guide but can't seem to get past instruction 5 on the guide. Which menu do I need to be in when pressing green? Currently the box has openpli on it, I did try loading BH however get the message "no displayable files found on this media" I have made sure it is in a vuplus folder.

As I was having trouble loading the BH image, I thought I would try getting my line put onto the box and start of that way. I could always try loading an image on another time, but get the box up and running first.

install bh

make sure you format your usb stick in fat32 then just put the vuplus folder onto your stick put it into your box and switch on wait until blue light flashes constantly switch of box pull out usb then restart box i am using bh 2.0.5 latest version on it is working good

I've followed the instructions as best I can but no update takes place... Can I install blackhole via ftp?

After much reading I have now installed blackhole but on startup I end up with a blank screen!!!

After you installed did you get at first boot up a set up wizard?
After the wizard is finished it will go to a channel and usually the default channel list is out of date and pointing to the wrong satellite so what you get is a blank screen. On your remote menu>setup>service searching>tuner config then choose advance select your satellite click on lnb if it is not on then do a scan or install a bouquet of your choice.

I have since found that BH 2.0.5 installs OK, but with 2.0.6 then the screen stays blank after the installation - ie nothing appears, no wizard or anything else.

I suspect this is because I am using a clone box.

Yes there is a warning with 2.06 that clones will get blank screen.

as far as i know the clone 6000hd and the cloud ibox all use the same mac address and that is why you get a black screen with blackhole 2.0.6 as they have put a check in the image to catch out the clones there is a patched blackhole 2.0.6 out there and it works fine i am using it myself
