openbox s11

my openbox has stopped working not powering on but ticking noise I can here. I have read up on the forum that it might need new firmware with a null cable as I don't have one of these is there another way of doing this

thanks I did read up on that before thought I had one of them cables but unfortunately I don't an thought I could do it a diff way like using a usb cable from comp to box but a-ho looks like I will need to get new box thanks anyway

Have you looked inside your box to see if there are any signs of bulging capacitors (particularly C11 & C15)?

This is a very common fault on these boxes.
