my skybox keeps losing connection its down to dns setting how can i sort this please idiots guide ,,,,box got ip and it works at neighbours house ok also the internet is running ok at mine how do i sort the dns connection thanks

How are you connecting your box to the internet wifi or wired?
Why do you say dns connection? Are web pages loading slowly on your pc?
If you are wifi make sure your dhcp set to on, in your network settings on your box also on your router if channel is set to auto or higher than 6 then set it to less than 6.
If you are wired then the problem might be with your router or isp. -

The dns has nothing to do with your box, you could change dns setting of your pc or maybe your router but you stated your internet works, the only time you would think about changing dns is if web pages were loading incorrectly or they were very slow to load, but if you still want to change google search opendns or googledns.
The problem is either with your router or isp, some old talktalk routers and virgin super hub are known to cause problems or maybe your isp is throttling your bandwidth.Comment
