    F5 initial purchase

    morning all,

i used to follow the Eur0vox scene a while ago and am getting back into this....

couple of questions if i may....

the boxes range from ?50 - ?120 (latter with the fabled "12 month free") is there any other way to get this if i buy just a basic box?

    any help is appreciated

    thanks,

google is your best bet, don't buy box's with gifts as they tend to run out faster than planned

Do not buy the F5 read through the forums it has lot of different problems all due to shoddy manufacturing, from a dodgy infra-red sensor to sometimes bad Ethernet port or wifi, you are better of going for the F3 they use the same firmware so you will not notice any difference. Never buy box with a gift sometimes gift disappears sooner than the time specified better off doing some research and finding one yourself.

p.s for firmware go to skybox.cc and for channel list you can't go wrong with AJ's list.

Go To your max ?120 budget if you can or higher and for that you will get a far better receiver with more support and future proofing

Thanks guys. Haved sourced elsewhere. So you're saying to go for the older std f3 box? Will they have 3d capability? Thanks

All new boxes are 3D capable all you need is a 3D television.
