    can i record using skybox f5??

    Just ordered a skybox due to arrive on tuesday and cant wait... But can i record programs using a usb harddrive when the skybox is in standby mode.

    Ellen show is on at 9.30 am and i want to record it while the box is on standby. Is that possible??

    Also , is the F5 a good choice ?? Got it for ?105

      Just got my skybox+hd. is there anyway of unlocking the locked channels.

              I don't have an F5, but I do have an S9, S10, & X3. They will all come out of standby to record, so don't see why F5 should be any different.

              All my boxes are very hit & miss when it comes to timer recordings though. Hope you have more luck.

                  Before you bought the F5 I think you should have done a bit more research it has a lot of hardware problems, you never know you might be one of the lucky ones. I assume for ?105 you bought it with a gift, to others I recommend not to buy with gift because lot of unscrupulous sellers out there and the 12 month gift sometimes disappears well before the 12 months but I really hope you have made a good choice let us know how you get on.
