Skybox Questions

I have a satellite dish pointed at 28.2E and also have ethernet internet connection ready, now I just need a Skybox. I have seen different types of Skybox models but F3 and F5 seems to be the most common, should I buy F3 or F5?

What's the difference between F3/F5 and F3/F5 with Gift?

Is eBay and Amazon the best place to buy them?

Don't buy with gift, get a model for 50 pound off ebay and add your own gift, its a lot better i have a f5 but have heard the f3 is built better and stuff they use the same firmware

Adding my own gift is free? Also what is in the gift? Do I need the gift to watch channels?

The F5 is a newer version to the F3, and I would recommend the F5. I have two at the moment and previously had the F3.
The firmware is the same, and both work well.

Dont get one with the gift mate, just get the box with the latest firmware loaded, and once you have it set up (matter of seconds), use AJ's channel list to update to the latest channel listing.
As for gift, get one yourself after testing a few. I cant say more on 'gifts'.

The thing is the ideal of share disappeared along time ago as soon as someone thought of a way to make money out if and you can hardly blame the people coming into it recently to the scene to know any better that does not mean that we stop helping people when they have problems when setting up whatever system they have.

There have been problems with F5's, the F3 seams a more solid machine, as for why not to get a gift with it, well if you do your probaly find it does not last anywhere near as long as it ment to, if you get your own 'bitwecanttalkabout' your be in more control and if you wipe your settings you wont lose your 'bitwecanttalkabout' as your have it in a email/download link.
We can not talk about that bit on this forum google and do some reading is the way to go.

I myself have a F3 it is a great machine and rock solid stable, though looking at a bigger and more flexable box now, just need a cash injection .

The Term is used specifically on this board anyway to how should i say Mask its true meaning and also that no one falls into breaking the Rules, So in most posts you can see the term 'Gift' & 'bitwecanttalkabout as well as others
