I have the latest firmware but when I lose connection to my provider it says scrambled I thought it was meant to say invalid?

Why would it say invalid? No different to just pulling out your Ethernet lead you lose all premium channels and it will say scrambled. Andy.

Invalid if the channel has changed frequency, scrambled if no ethernet cable or you lose connection
