    Skybox F5 Issues..

When i first got my box set up and everything several months back, everything was perfect, recently however, im constantly getting little freezes during programs, can be any channel, movies, sports etc. It freezes for a few seconds then resumes. Also started scrambling quite alot recently, sometimes upto 10 minutes or more before it resumes unless i change the channel and go back, which cannot be done if i am recording a show whilst in bed. This is really beginning to get on my nerves, anyone have any idea what the problem is. .......................... and the problem must be something on my end. My internet is BT Infinity which is probably the best available in the UK, so my internet is not an issue.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks..

First off just because you have had 35 views could also mean that those 35 people cannot help with the problem, as for the Glitching as i edited your post have a look at the forum rules regarding discussing anything to do with card sharing.

So as most people would actually search the forum to see if anyone else is experiencing the same problem if not then you have to do a process of elimination and answer a few questions which would garner a response from fellow F5 users.

      1. Is the Glitch/Scramble happening on FTA channels BBC,ITV etc
      2. What firmware is loaded on the F5
      3. How are you connected to your router Ethernet,Wi-Fi, Home plugs
      4. Have you done a ping test to actually determine if it could be an internet problem, Even reset the Infinity the modem and router leave unplugged for at least 2 minutes and give the Home HUB at least 5 mins to settle down afterwards
      5. Have you tried a different firmware on the F5 or even a different channel list

      Regards

From what you have said the problem appears to be with your (Read the Rules Providor). Particlary if the message on the screen say "Scrambled"

              5 firmware @ skybox.cc

My firmware is stingray, which is the latest as far as i know..
I use wireless adapters as my hub is too far away, they connect using an ethernet cable like i already stated..

Having got a test from another... It seems to be the exact same, scrambling and glitching quite often. Getting really annoying now.

Hi mate did updating the firmware work for you?

I've got the same problem, my fta channels are fine but the others work scramble/glitch several times a minute.

                    Thanks

Another thread that comes close to breaking the rules. If the fta are fine its 1 of 2 things and more than likely the obvious one which isn't the internet, Andy.
