Hi everyone. I got a F5 today, im trying to do a uk chanel scan but i cant find astra 28.2 in sattelite list. I added 28.2 but the result gave mostly european chanels.
If you are getting mostly European channels means that your satellite is not aligned correctly, look at the way your neighbours dishes are facing to see if yours is pointing in the correct direction.
Hi I'm wanting to get a skybox f5 but wanted a few things clearing up.
1. Do I need to be connected to Internet at all time for it to work
2. Can I record one programme and watch another (like sky+)
3. Can I run the skybox f5 off the sky + box and still keep sky, I.e have the skybox f5 upstairs
thanks
1. Do I need to be connected to Internet at all time for it to work
Yes to watch your sub, no if you want to watch freeview channels only.
2. Can I record one programme and watch another (like sky+)
No, you can only record what your watching, that to onto your exteranl hard drive or USB stick.
3. Can I run the skybox f5 off the sky + box and still keep sky, I.e have the skybox f5 upstairs
Yes you can, but if you take out of one the two connections the Sky+ box has, you will only be able to record the channel your watching, and not record two channels at the same time.
Your best bet is run a new wire from the LNB to whereever you want to have the F5. That way you can enjoy both your Sky+ box and F5.
Internet is not highly used, and is minimal. As for wiring, do this from your sky dish LNB to wherever you want to put the box. Think of it as a new line connection. Currently your sky dish as 2 wires coming out and going into your sky+ box. You should have 2 ports free on the lnb. Run the wire from there into your F5
