    Skybox F3 Component Video Output

I'm looking at either an F3 or an F5, and I'm leaning towards the F3 because my TV only has no spare HDMI input, but it does have a component in.

I've seen mixed comments about the component O/P on the F3, so is anyone using it? Am I better going for an HDMI to component converter in which case is the F5 a better buy?

    TIA

If it's an easier/better option then yes, but I hadn't thought about it TBH.

I use a 3 way switch cost about 4-5 quid from ebay, got pc appletv and skybox plugged in. When I want to switch I just press button on switch an hey presto I am on the other device, heck with the pc it auto swaps from monitor to pc where as before I had to tell the pc to use the telly, makes games on the big screen easier

Yeah, I've decided to go for a switch - it's by far the best option.

          This one looks okay.

There are cheaper ones on Ebay. Haven't tried them myself yet, but I might try these 2. 1 is manual & the other remote controlled:-

Bear in mind that these unpowered HDMI switch boxes don't always work correctly, particularly with Sly+ boxes. As digicon says, it may be worth getting a powered one, depending on what equipment you need to switch.
