F3 Freezes when TV Off

Hi Guy's,
Seem to have an issue with my F3 box when switching on.
If i turn on the F3 without the TV beening on the HDMI Ch i view it on the box freeze's up.
If i leave the F3 box on but turn the TV off after a while the F3 freeze's up and i have to turn F3 off/on at the wall.

But if i turn TV on first and put it on the HDMI Ch ready, then turn F3 on it's fine for as long as i watch it.
It's as if the F3 box hangs when it does'nt cense a TV/HDMI source.
But!!!! If i was to set timer to record a program whilst the TV is off it's fine

Any idea's my friends........

Looks like it could be a problem with HDMI-CEC with the Box interfering with the TV, In other words its the HDMI handshake if the tv does not like the product handshake so to speak it throws a wobbly, on most devices you can turn this off in the menu of the source ie: the F3

It could also be something else have you tried a different HDMI lead

just to add to what Digicon posted . I have seen a few f3 & f5 boxes with similar issues. Have you tried connection by component?. to prove it's hdmi related ?

Thanks for the replies.
Will try a different HDMI lead and component leads to see if it cure's it.
Have'nt seen anything in the menu's regarding HDMI handshake option.

Just an update to the problem i was having.
Tried 2 other HDMI cable's and it was the same. Didn't have a componant cable to try.
So i went to SkyBox | SkyBox and downloaded the (SkyBox F5-F3-M3 - Fix Bug : HD reboot) firmware
to give it a try before going out and buy a componant cable, and "hey presto" it has sorted my HDMI problem

So just sharing this piece of info in case any of you out there are experiencing the same issue's.............

hi durasoft is your f3 box still fine with the fix bug hd reboot firmware mate im having the exact same problem has you whenever i turn my tv off the f3 crashes with black screen and no response from f3 remote when i turn tv back on.thanks
