Recording on skybox f3, query?

Hi guys

Have just acquired the skybox f3, got a Seagate 500GB HDD for recording stuff.

Hardly done any recording so far, mostly instant record on what i was watching at the time-this worked OK. I am unable to record in the future by using the Timer setting, it just won't work. Is this normal?

I get a message on screen sometimes saying 'Limit can not record!' but i know i have lots of space on my HD, can anyone explain this to a complete newbie?

Not sure, but try formatting it and making it fit for use, via the boxes menu, should be ok
