Quick question on channel list updating

Hi there, I am currently using a skybox f3. The way I input channels are like the main stream box in the UK, i.e. 101 for bbc1, 501 news channel. I would like to use AJS channel list, will this remove my channel input that I already have? Or will I be able to use his list and continue to have this channel input but have the channel numbers he has? or will his channel list only work through the faves way?

As the F3 list starts at number 1 that is where BBC1 will be. Using the Favorites to find channels is the easiest.

I wanted to know this too............does AJs list overwrite your existing faves list or does it run along side the other faves lists you already have ???

When ever you put in a new channel list it will overwrite the old one.

Possibly the easiest way to do what you are wanting to do is get ajs list onto box, then do a channel scan, then when finished you will have a hell of a lot of no name channels bump them to channels 1-100 then block them and skip them in settings then build your list from there. To get the most upto date channel numbers download the sky+ app from the app store/play store and use the channel numbers on there to build the list. Have to admit it will take hours but when finished it should look great also you will still have ajs list in favourites so a win win situation

I'm a newbie to the F3, working great but the odd one or two channels missing. I know I have to change the channel list (going to use AJ's) but have never done a change of list so far.

There must be a guide on here somewhere on HOW TO..(as i dont want to wipe what i already have).........if someone would be so kind to point me in the right direction as i have some spare time to have a go today..........much appreciated if possible

Thanks guys and gals, keep up the good work

Make sure you on latest firmware go here to get it Download / Software / Skybox F3/F5/M3_Shenzhen Yojia Technology Co., Ltd. then update box, then delete all channels and add ajs list and you should be sorted

Yes but make sure your on latest firmware as you may end up with file mismatch when trying to update, get the latest firmware sling it to root of sd card/stick then update it then delete all channels when finished then add ajs list, all done with files on root od sd

Yes mate just update the channel list via usb
no need to update the firmware unless you want to
if you are going to update the firmware make sure you know what you are doing & back the whole of your box up onto a usb stick before doing anything
