    F5 Invalid Program error

I have spent the last few hours reading on this site but am no futher to fixing the "invalid Program" error. Only on a few channels, Magic ,Heat, Disney Movies and Animal Channel, strangely Animal Channel + 1 works fine. Done the usual retune and latest firmware update. Skybox F5. 2 months ago Disney Movies was working fine so I'm stumped. Any help woud be great, I can live with it but would prefer it working for the kids. Many thanks

How old is your channel list?

Heat & Magic are FTA, so unless they have changed frequency, shouldn't give any problems.

When you say that you have retuned, do you mean performed a scan?

Like Hadron, I would like to know what you mean by retune, the problem on first glance appears to me like you might have to update your channel list but all depends on what you mean by retune.

I think INVALID PROGRAM is the same as Scrambled....?? on the later firmware....all the channels have been moved about in the last 2 months

update your channel list with Aj's list http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums.../index102.html page 102 channel update 5.7.2013

        then all will be fixed

        How to.......
Download the file to usb stick it in the box.....

Menu...upgrade via usb....top of the menu press sideways choose....msic file......then down to select......highlight TP_PROG......press OK then press yellow button on the remote....then Ok

        Reboot the box

        Channel list loaded channels fixed

Thats right, I just did a rescan, baffling me. I have done the usual channel list update, I will try again, thanks for the replies. I will follow the instructions above to the letter, but I think I have already done this. Cheers guys, I'll let you know

Worked perfectly, very impressed, was using a flash of someone elses channel list. Many thanks, excellent. The channels it says invalid program on now is Heat, Showcase and TCM2, also Premier is scrambled now but +1 works fine?

              No.

Invalid Program is to do with the signal. You can get Invalid Programme on Freesat channels.

Scrambled is to do with what cannot be discussed. Or lack of it. Internet connections etc.

                  Your reading it wrong.

Show "Invalid Program" instead of "Scrambled" when play "Invalid Program"

Why ever would they want it to mean the the same.

Invalid program is when the the selected program is not on the transponder or even being missed by poor signal.

Scrambled is when the encryption is not being cleared.

Well DW i would guess its the way the Chinese phrase it ....

Show's "Invalid Program" instead of "Scrambled" ......1st bit i understand ......this bit contradicts the 1st part "when play "Invalid Program"

So i guess the member that asked the question got it sorted anyway .....

I have worked out the Chinese speak great English when taking your cash ......Anything after that they talk total jibrish

No offence to the chinese or you DW...

I'll put "Invalid Program" it into simple terms.

"When play" = When selected, so I play Sly Sports 2 which I know has finished (not now on transponder) = "Invalid Program"

Now try it with Sly Sports Ashes which I know is on the transponder and working = perfect, sit back and watch.

Remove your ethernet or switch off you internet = removing Descrambling Device = Scrambled.

Remember we are dealing with Honk Konk Tiawan Go Wong (Cheap Stuff)
