F3 newb, any help would be great

Hey guys, i now live in France, the house i have has a sat dish already installed, but i dont know which satellite it is aim'd at.
Iv received my Skybox F3 but its back in the uk, so im going home to fetch it next week.
I just want to make sure that iv downloaded all the correct software for the box so i can set it up as soon as im back.

im going to download : AJ's Sky UK Channel List - Updated Regularly

I also need the lastest software/firmware.
On the DK site they are mostly for the open-box and not the skybox, so I take it that this software is incorrect?

Then on the skybox.cc download page for the F3 there are a lot of options. The most recent is at the top, but is this a upgrade from one of the previous downloads? or will i be ok just downloading the latest version.

    SkyBox | SkyBox

Im also looking for specific HHD's that work on the box, im after something like a 500GB, iv had a quick search but im still currently on data roaming until i sort out my mobile contract and its costing me quite abit :S

Any help would be great guys.

I would set the box up in the UK then take it with you...so then you know that the box is working correctly....so when you get to France if you don't
pick the channels up ...then its possible the dish is not pointing at the sat you want

    Hope this helps

Also dependant on which area in france your living and size of dish you may not get some of the TP's from some of the birds at 28.2? east as i know a couple of people in france that have had to steer theres towards 27.5? west with BISS keys to get the Freeview channels ie: BBC1,2,ITV,CH4 etc... have a look at the spot beams to see what size dish you need: FlySat Astra 1N/2A/2F/2F @ 28.2? East Beams

Ok cheers guys. Just spoke to the mrs and the box is already in the removals lorry. So I'm going to have to set it up out here :S
Iv found a website that gave me the exact details of the dish so hopefully that will work out ok.

Any info of the hdd. I know it's best being a USB 3. Does it matter if it have a additional power source etc?
