F5 signal issues help

Hi all


Just installed an F5 box but I'm struggling with signal issues, I'm having to go into the antenna set up and mess around with the LNB freq and Transponder to get the channels/signal working but the minute I change the channel is back to no signal again? Is this how these boxes work or is it something I'm doing wrong in terms of the set up?

In the satellite settings choose astra 28.2e , then do a blind scan to see if you can receive all channels and your satellite is pointed in the right direction. If this goes ok then I would suggest you download the latest AJ's channel list and load that into your F5 for easier navigation of channels.

Make sure both your Diseqc are disabled and your Motor Type is Off.

I have tried all that and still no joy, I get some channels but then some are permanently no signal, even deleted the channel list, rescanned (blind search) and reef lashed Aj's channel list but still no joy

Also tried to reflash the firmware cuz I thought that will be the issue, got the latest fw but it says file mismatch when I tried to flash, could that be the reason for the problems I'm having?

I had that same no signal problem with my F5 box what I did just moved my wire from one LNB to another and voila all my channels are working fine now..
Or try to re-align your dish

What is your LNB Freq set to? It should be Universal (9750-10600).

Have you used this dish & LNB before, with another box, or is it a new install?

This is a new install but is the usual sky dish that I use for my hd+ box, just checked the LNB and its 9750-10600, do you st the Transponder or u just leave it as whatever it states in there?

I deleted all the channels and did a rescan and on the list most of the channels worked bar ESPN, Europort that I noticed, then I flashed AJ's channel list and pretty much most of the channels don't work, is there something I'm doing wrong there?

Try the attached channel dump, fressh off my box. You dont need to delete the channels as this replaces the list.

It is 28.2 for the UK

just flashed and I'm afraid to say same issue really, some channels work most HD dont just NO SIGNAL.

ive just run out of ideas now, don't think it's the dish/feed as that's the one I use for my sky hd+ box, could this be a problem with the box by any chance?

try a different firmware flash, reload channel list.........had this myself, tried diff flash now all ok ....make a note of different wares you flash, saves going round in circles

Maybe a sill question but do you have your official $ly HD box on the same LNB as if you do then this could be one of the Official box is knocking out my channels scenario

Your not by any chance using both sat feeds to the box are you?

I have tried four different fw but it just says upgrade file mismatch on all of them, if you could recommend something different will appreciate it
