Could that actually be the reason cuz I think the dish that comes into my flat is shared by another couple of flats so in effect it's got multi LNB output on the dish with two feeds coming into my flat, then im using a single feed on the sly hd+ box and the other feed for the F5 box.

For a test unplug the official box and then just try the F5 on its own and see if it cures it.

Because the second socket on skybox is a loop through (single tuner)

From what you are saying it sounds like the box could be a clone or faulty box.

Take the battery cover off the remote and see if it says Skybox-F just above the batteries.

As I mentioned in my earlier post it nothing to do with your firmware or channel list, it has to do with your LNB... I pluged in my f5 in our living room and it worked perfectly but I was having same no signal issue in my bedroom and the next thing I did just switch the LNB from one to another and it worked like charm.

Just check this listing at the bottom and you will see what an original remote looks like.

All Original Skybox remote controls have the Skybox mark inside the remote control and the gold QC passed sticker on the back (this is only stuck on so could well be missing) the one inside the battery cover is in the moulding.

Have you tried what digicon suggested.

There are many reports of Openboxes/Skyboxes loosing channels when connected to the same LNB as Sky+ boxes, or even other Openboxes/Skyboxes. Simply disconnecting your Sky+ box may not prove this though, as you say that your LNB may be shared with users in other flats.

The fix is to put a diode & capacitor in the LNB feed. If you search for "no signal fix" on Ebay, you will find a few selling for around ?6.

Hi all, ive been looking round the forum trying to find a solution to a problem like this but from what I have read regarding the wirefix it seems I have the opposite problem, in the bay description it implies that this is for when you can receive horizontal channels but not vertical, I however can receive all vertical channels almost instantly but most horizontal channels show no signal ! I have a quad LNB and sky + but I have run a separate coax to the f5s and tried turning the sky+ off but still the same problem, The signal strength and quality are both almost at the top according to the + box, ive updated to AJs list and done a new channel/satellite search, what else could I try? I haven't updated the firmware yet as I have a feeling this box may end up going back.

                                Regards
